CMS INDUSLAW has added Faraz Alam Sagar as an equity partner and head of the Dispute Resolution & White-Collar Crimes in its Mumbai Office. Sagar will be leading the firm’s practice in cross-border litigation, regulatory investigations, white-collar crime, corporate and forensic investigations, and international sanctions and sanctions advisory. He has spent over two decades navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional matters, advising and representing clients across jurisdictions. He has advised governments, multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals across a range of contentious and non-contentious mandates, with particular focus on cross-border disputes, trade remedies, sanctions and regulatory enforcement. His practice is recognised for its sustained record of handling matters that engage both Indian law and international legal frameworks — often simultaneously and at significant scale. Prior to joining the firm, Sagar was co-head and partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and he also worked with leading international firms, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a Permanent Member of the Bombay Bar Association.
