Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has welcomed Akshay Sachthey, who rejoined the firm as partner in the General Corporate Practice in Delhi. Sachthey brings over 10 years of experience advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including corporate advisory, M&As, inbound and outbound investment transactions, commercial contracts, and regulatory work, with a particular focus on the insurance and reinsurance sector. His experience cuts across diverse sectors, including insurance, healthcare, retail, fintech, real estate, gaming and IT/ITeS. Sachthey routinely advises Indian and international clients on complex cross-border transactions, strategic investments and regulatory mandates. Prior to rejoining the firm, Sachthey was associated with a fintech platform, where he led legal for global M&As and strategic investments, as well as the prepaid solutions business across multiple jurisdictions. He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and an LLB (Hons) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi.
