Chandler Mori Hamada welcomes Prof Piphob Veraphong, Rachanee Prasongprasit and Dr Theeravuth Temsiriwattanakul, three long-recognised leading tax lawyers in Thailand. Their addition enhances the firm’s existing market-leading offerings with a comprehensive tax practice advising on tax structuring matters, customs and tax disputes.
With over 30 years of experience in tax law, Prof Veraphong is one of the preeminent tax lawyers in Thailand. He has been widely recognised and respected by peers and clients. Prior to joining the firm, Prof Veraphong founded and led a prominent top-ranked boutique law firm after a long career at international law firms in Thailand.
Prasongprasit has decades of experience advising on tax law. She formerly worked at prominent international accounting and law firms, and is a well-regarded tax expert in Thailand. She is fluent in Thai, English and Japanese.
Dr Temsiriwattanakul is a distinguished academic in tax law in Thailand. He advises on specific tax issues, including royalty income classification involving offshore entities, interpretative issues in the oil and gas industry, and customs duty matters.
Moreover, veteran litigator Srangsomwong also joins the firm as a Senior Advisor to the Dispute Resolution team. Formerly Managing Partner of a leading international law firm in Thailand, he currently serves on several boards of publicly-listed Thai companies. With over four decades of experience as a litigator on some of Thailand’s most high-profile cases, he brings his extensive litigation experience and management expertise to the firm’s market-recognised Dispute Resolution team.
