Halim Hong & Quek has added Tan Jun Kit and Justin Ng as partners, effective April 1, 2026. They bring with them substantial experience in corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, corporate advisory and cross-border transactions. Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom in 2013. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a barrister of Inner Temple in 2015, and subsequently admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. Tan’s area of practice ranges from M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, equity capital market transactions to banking and finance. He has assisted companies with IPOs, as well as fund raising exercises, such as placements, in Malaysia. Tan has experience in public M&A, such as take-over transactions of public companies listed in Malaysia, and in private M&A, such as private equity and venture capital funds on their investments. His banking and finance experience includes assisting financial institutions and corporations with project financing and M&A financing. On the other hand, Ng holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from Nottingham Trent University, and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn in 2015. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. Ng’s practice primarily focuses on corporate and commercial matters, and conveyancing.
