JSA Advocates and Solicitors has strengthened its corporate practice with the addition of Kushal Ramotre as a partner. Ramotre has over 12 years of experience in corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, strategic partnerships and cross-border deals. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Director-Corporate Transactions at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai. He had also worked with leading law firms, including Trilegal, Acuity Law, BMR Legal and Indian Law Partners, where he advised on a wide range of high-value domestic and international transactions. Ramotre has advised on several marquee transactions across sectors, such as infrastructure, renewable energy, technology, financial services and healthcare. His experience includes advising Mavco Investments on a US$500 million acquisition of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s wind turbine business, EssilorLuxottica on its strategic partnership with the Reliance Group, Bytedance on its investments in and exit from Dailyhunt, and KKR on its US$450 million investment in Hero Future Energies. He has also advised global investors, such as Warburg Pincus, OMERS, Alibaba and Circulate Capital, on significant investments in India. Ramotre holds a BLS, LLB degree from Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai University, and is enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
