|Clayton Utz has appointed Geoffrey Shaw as a partner. Shaw, who has practised in the Hong Kong market for over 20 years, brings significant experience in construction related arbitration and litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolution. He has acted for clients across South East Asia and has worked on some of the largest and most complex matters in the Asia-Pacific region, including advising the Hong Kong Government in relation to disputes arising out of the Chek Lap Kok new airport project, the construction of a nuclear power plant in China and a multi-billion dollar claim relating to a steel mill in Southern China.
Finsec Law Advisors has appointed Indrajit Mishra as partner effective 1 August 2011. He brings with him substantial experience in the fields of private equity, funds and M&A. Mishra’s career spans over a decade. Prior to joining the firm, he has worked with ARA LAW, Thakker & Thakker and as a company secretary.
Khaitan & Co has appointed Anindita Phukan as a partner in the firm’s Bangalore office. Before joining the firm, she has worked at some reputed Indian law firms, including as partner for over six years. Phukan specialises in corporate and commercial laws with a focus on M&As, JVs, strategic investments, foreign inward and outbound investments and technology and media. She has around 15 years of experience in advising clients. Phukan has been managing her own law office over the past year and will be merging her practice with the firm’s Bangalore office.
