Clyde & Co has appointed William Tsang as partner in its global corporate insurance practice. He will initially be based in the London office before relocating to Hong Kong to focus on developing a corporate insurance practice across Asia. Tsang joins from Hill Dickinson where he was corporate insurance partner. He was previously an associate in the corporate insurance teams at BLG and DLA. With over ten years of non-contentious insurance and reinsurance experience focusing on Lloyd’s, run-off, and exit strategies, his regulatory advice includes insurance mediation, passporting, authorisations and change of control.

Eversheds has appointed Stephen Chan as a partner in its Hong Kong corporate practice. Chan, who has spent more than 12 years as special counsel with Baker & Mckenzie, specialises in M&A and joint ventures as well as corporate and financing transactions. He has particular expertise in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications and energy, mining and infrastructure sectors. Chan has also advised various clients in the venture capital and private equity sectors.

Kirkland & Ellis International LLP has expanded its private equity practice in Asia by relocating partner Michel Debolt from London to Hong Kong. Advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in Asia, Europe and North America, he focuses on complex business transactions, including M&As, joint ventures, interim and final liquidity realisations, equity restructurings and executive compensation. Debolt’s clients include Advantage Partners, Apollo Management, Bain Capital, Energias de Portugal (EDP), Goldman Sachs Capital Partners and Vestar Capital Partners.

Rodyk & Davidson has added four new partners to beef up its corporate and finance practices. Kenneth Oh, Evelyn Ang and Pun Ling Fung will join the corporate finance practice whilst Carol Lim has joined the project finance practice. Oh and Ang each has more than a decade-long expertise in corporate finance whilst Fung has been in the industry for more than seven years. Ang and Fung have strong track records in multi-million dollar M&A transaction projects. Lim has extensive international experience in energy, infrastructure and project finance projects.
