JSA Advocates and Solicitors has added Amitabh Sharma as a partner. Rejoining the firm’s Gurugram office, Sharma has been associated with Khaitan & Co as a partner, and with HSA Associates as its managing partner. He has over 25 years of experience as an adviser on general corporate, M&A, private equity, projects and financing matters. Sharma sits as an Independent Director on the boards of several Indian companies, both listed and unlisted. Over the years, he has advised a wide spectrum of multinational clients, multi/bilateral agencies, financial institutions/banks and NBFCs, private equity firms, and public and private sector entities. Sharma has advised on India entry and divestment strategies, which involved acting on cross-border transactions, including acquisitions in USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa and Mozambique. He is an alumnus of Campus Law Centre, Delhi University (LLB 1995), and is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi.
