King & Wood Mallesons has appointed Sue Kench as global managing partner, effective June 1, 2017, succeeding Stuart Fuller who stepped down from the role at the end of 2016 and has returned to full time practice in Australia. Kench previously held the role of chief executive partner for Australia and will be replaced by Berkeley Cox in that role. She is a current member of the firm’s global executive committee and international management committee. The firm has also announced the appointment of Rupert Li to a new role of global chief operating officer.
