Orrick has added leading litigator Charles Allen as a partner in its complex litigation and dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong. He joins from Sidley Austin, where he led the firm’s Hong Kong commercial litigation practice. Allen brings deep skills to help clients navigate a wide range of high-stakes inbound and outbound matters. Admitted in both Hong Kong and England, he focuses his practice on complex, commercial litigation, arbitration and investigations. He represents clients on a wide range of contractual and tortious disputes, as well as regulatory and other investigations. Allen is a member of the Claims Committee of the Hong Kong Law Society’s Professional Indemnity Scheme, secretary to the ICC Hong Kong Committee on Arbitration and a Solicitor Member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, the disciplinary body for Solicitors in Hong Kong. Allen earned his LLB from University College London and completed his Solicitors’ Finals Examination at the College of Law.
