| Allen & Overy has appointed Tony Sparks as partner in its corporate practice in Australia effective 18 August 2011. Sparks has a considerable track record in high profile corporate and commercial transactions, including IPOs and secondary offerings, public and private M&A, hybrid and retail bond issuances, structured products and privatisations. He joins from Freehills where he has been a partner since 2006, prior to which he worked for an international law firm in London and Tokyo.
Shook Lin & Bok has expanded its China practice with the hire of Henry Tang who joins as a partner from one of the leading law firms in Jiangsu Province, China effective 15 August 2011. Tang has more than 25 years of legal experience, having been called to the China Bar in 1989 and the State Bar of California in 2009 as a foreign legal consultant. His expertise lies in cross-border transactions, where he advised extensively on China-related general corporate and commercial matters, foreign investments, private equity matters, M&As, licensing, and overseas listings and fundraisings of PRC companies. |
