ZICOlaw announced the launch of its office in Hanoi, Vietnam, following the establishment of its office in Ho Chi Minh City in 2012. The firm is now present in 8 countries and 15 cities in the ASEAN region.

The Hanoi office is headed by Phuong Nguyen, a partner of the firm, who joins from Mayer Brown JSM, where she was a partner in the Banking and Finance practice group. Phuong Nguyen’s areas of practice cover both banking and financial matters and corporate and commercial matters. She has more than 19 years of experience advising multinational corporations and banks on infrastructure projects, project finance, capital markets and banking transactions.

Phuong Nguyen graduated with an LLM from the Hanoi National University. She is a senior member of the Vietnam Bar Federation & Vietnam Lawyer Association and has authored several articles on mergers & acquisitions and securitisations in magazines in Vietnam. Phuong Nguyen is recognised as a leading Banking & Finance lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific (2011), Chambers Global (2014) and International Financial Law Review (2014) and a leading Financial & Corporate lawyer by International Financial Law Review (2011-13).
