Global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services EY has added Singapore law firm PK Wong & Associates to its global network. PK Wong & Associates LLC is a boutique corporate commercial law firm with employment, insolvency and disputes capabilities. It will offer legal services and work closely with EY’s teams to provide complementary, commercially focused advice to clients in Singapore and the rest of the Asean region.

According to Max Loh, Asean and Singapore Managing Partner at EY, “With the addition of legal services into our existing suite of services, we can help to minimise the gap between business advisors and legal counsel, and provide companies in Singapore and Asean with the trusted advice and business agility that they increasingly need to navigate the opportunities and risks across different markets.”

Howard Adams, Asia-Pacific Law Leader at EY, said “The entry of PK Wong & Associates LLC to the EY network follows Shanghai-based law firm, Chen & Co, which became an EY member firm in January; the establishment of our legal services capability in Vietnam in April; and the expansion of our legal services capability in Australia and New Zealand over the past 12 months. With member firms already in India and Japan, EY now has established a law footprint across the major Asia-Pacific financial centres.”

John Dick, Asean Law Leader at EY, remarked “Globally, EY offers legal services in more than 50 countries with over 1,200 lawyers. In the past year, we have focused on the development of our legal services capability in Asia-Pacific, specifically Asean. Key to the development in Asean is to have a strong hub out of Singapore, and with PK Wong & Associates LLC joining us, we have laid the foundation for our regional platform.”

Mark Wong, Managing Director at PK Wong & Associates LLC, stated “As Singapore continues to develop into a legal hub, and as more cross-border transactions take place, we believe that our clients will benefit from the enhanced global reach afforded by the global EY network. At the same time, we look forward to providing quality Singapore-based legal services together with the rest of EY’s Law network.”
