Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP) has added Dawn Zhou as Foreign Counsel, and Vincent Wahyudi and Derry Patra Dewa as Partners, recognising their sustained contributions to the firm and its clients and reflecting the firm’s continued focus on strengthening its partnership.

Dawn leads AHP’s China focused corporate and M&A practice, advising Chinese investors on investments and business operations in Indonesia. Her practice covers market entry strategies, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and ongoing corporate and commercial matters across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, energy and mining, real estate and construction, technology and telecommunications.

She is also well-regarded for her ability to bridge legal, regulatory and cultural considerations in cross-border transactions, making her a trusted advisor to Chinese clients operating in Indonesia.

Vincent is a member of AHP’s Corporate and M&A practice, with a strong focus on foreign direct investment and cross-border M&A transactions. He regularly advises international and domestic clients on acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign ownership structures, legal due diligence and regulatory approvals.

Vincent has extensive experience assisting foreign investors with Indonesian investment regulations, including matters involving the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM. He is known for his practical, solution-oriented approach, and his ability to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, commercially-focused advice.

Patra is a member of AHP’s M&A practice, with experience advising on corporate transactions, capital markets and foreign direct investment matters. In addition to his strong transactional practice across sectors such as telecommunications, energy and technology, Patra has developed a particular focus on healthcare and life sciences, advising on healthcare-related investments, acquisitions and corporate structuring. His practice is characterised by a combination of regulatory insight and commercial pragmatism, particularly in complex and highly regulated industries.

This year’s partner admissions underscore AHP’s commitment to developing senior leadership from within, and ensuring that clients continue to benefit from experienced, commercially-minded and trusted advisers.

“As our clients’ needs continue to evolve, it is essential that our partnership reflects both depth of experience and future leadership. Dawn, Vincent and Patra exemplify these qualities, and their appointment strengthens our ability to provide high-quality, client-focused advice,” commented Ahmad Fikri Assegaf, AHP Managing Partner.
