Bird & Bird has added Pattie Walsh as a partner in the global employment practice. Acknowledged as a leading employment lawyer in Asia, Walsh is one of a handful of non-Chinese lawyers to have a detailed understanding of local PRC employment law. She has a broad client base with a particular focus on the financial services sector. Walsh was formerly Head of Employment for Asia Pacific at DLA Piper. She is admitted to practice in Hong Kong, New South Wales, and England and Wales.

Eversheds has added Jennifer van Dale as a partner and head of employment in the Hong Kong office. Van Dale enjoys a formidable market reputation as one of Hong Kong and the region’s leading employment lawyers. She formerly headed the employment practice at Baker & McKenzie for many years and most recently headed Gall’s employment team. She advises corporate clients on legal and commercial issues arising out of the employment relationship, focusing on cross border matters in Asia.

Han Kun Law Offices has added Wang Yan effective September 2015. A former partner of Fangda Partners, Wang focuses on intellectual property dispute resolution. He also advises clients on strategic intellectual property licensing matters, including many cross-border licenses. Through the years, Wang worked on a variety of disputes relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, standard related issues and antitrust issues. His work covered a vast spectrum of technology fields, such as chemistry, petro chemistry, semiconductors, computer software, electronics, communications, cryptology, medical devices and biological sciences. When he was in the US, he served at Broadcom as a senior counsel and at Weil Gotshal & Manges and MoFo for many years.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has added Shuva Mandal as partner and national head of the Corporate & M&A Practice Group. Mandal joins from AZB & Partners where he was a partner since 2009. He specializes in M&As, private equity, joint ventures, commercial/ contractual transaction structuring and corporate laws. He received his LLB from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

Trowers & Hamlins has added Kashif Siddiqui as a partner in the corporate department. Previously with Allen & Overy in London and the Middle East, Siddiqui specialises in cross-border M&As, disposals, joint venture transactions and restructurings. He has a particular focus on outbound investment from the Middle East and considerable experience managing complex international transactions. Siddiqui has significant corporate expertise and has acted for a number of the bulge-bracket investment banks and multi-national companies.
