Apurva Jayant
J Sagar Associates has added Apurva Jayant as a retained partner in the corporate team in Mumbai. Along with her team, she joined on November 9, 2020. Jayant has 13 years of experience in M&A, joint ventures and general corporate. She joins from Luthra and Luthra. She is a 2007 graduate of National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore.
Divyanshu Pandey
Arpita Garg
S&R Associates has added Divyanshu Pandey and Arpita Garg as partners in the firm’s New Delhi office. Pandey will head the firm’s banking and finance practice. His practice covers structured finance, cross-border lending transactions, hybrid debt financing, project finance, acquisition financing, real estate finance, as well as restructuring, enforcement and insolvency matters. He advises Indian and multinational banks, debt funds, non-banking finance companies and corporates. Pandey received a BA (Hons) in 1997 and an LLB in 2000 from the University of Delhi and a BCL from the University of Oxford in 2002. His prior experience includes working with Slaughter and May and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, and J Sagar Associates in Gurugram. On the other hand, Garg specializes in banking and finance matters, including restructuring, insolvency, structured finance, real estate and trade finance, bond issuances and project finance. She has advised a variety of financial institutions, including Indian and multinational banks, arrangers and non-banking finance companies, as well as borrowers. She received a BSL in 2004 and an LLB in 2006 from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. Garg’s prior experience includes working with ICICI Bank in Mumbai, and J Sagar Associates in Gurugram.
