Pillay, who had spent close to ten years at the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore where he was Director of Enforcement, is a competition law and regulation practitioner with more than 14 years of experience in both the public sector and private practice. His practice covers competition law and regulation related advisory work in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region. He regularly assists clients with matters relating to cartel investigations, M&As, joint venture agreements, abuse of dominance investigations, competition compliance and audits. He also advises competition authorities on enforcement strategies, competition policy, institutional frameworks and work process reviews, and legislative amendments. He joins the firm from Osborne Clarke Queen Street.
