James Morrison is set to join the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group of Bae Kim & Lee LLC in May 2009. Prior to his departure in March, Mr Morrison was formerly the Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, France, where he most recently led the Secretariat’s case management team for Asia and the Pacific region. Mr Morrison undertook his legal training in Australia. The move by an ICC Counsel to a Korean law firm is unprecedented.

Pattie Walsh is to join DLA Piper in early August 2009 as partner and head of its Asia employment practice, focusing on multi-jurisdictional employment work as well as staffing issues arising from mergers and acquisitions, re-organisations, and outsourcing situations across Asia. Ms Walsh previously headed up the Employment team for Greater China at Minter Ellison. She is a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and a barrister of England and Wales, and has experience advising a diverse range of clients including multinationals across Asia, particularly in Hong Kong and China.
