Rouse & Co International has appointed James Collison, an experienced US Patent Attorney. He will be based in the offices of Yu & Partners, the Hong Kong IP firm associated with Rouse’s UK legal arm, Rouse Legal, from March 2007. Collison – who has previously worked in the USA, Australia and Hong Kong – has particular expertise and experience in the computing and electrical goods industries. He will be assisting Rouse in development of the patent services provided by its Asian offices, particularly in China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam

Stephenson Harwood & Lo (SHL) has appointed Jamie Stranger as partner in the litigation practice. Stranger has double degrees in Western Australia in law and accounting and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in Australia. He joined the firm in 2001, left SHL for a short period of time and rejoined in 2004 when he was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong. Stranger covers all areas of commercial litigation including shareholder disputes, joint venture disputes, shipping and trade disputes, enforcement proceedings and audit negligence.
