Bryan Cave has appointed Iain Sharp as a partner in the firm’s Singapore office. He will practice with the firm’s international arbitration team and commercial litigation client service group. Sharp has been involved in international trade and commodities, oil and gas, shipping, banking and finance disputes, defense products, civil fraud, intellectual property and technology, and insurance/reinsurance. He has conducted major arbitrations throughout Europe and Asia. Sharp has particular experience handling international trade and commodity-related matters involving China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

K&L Gates has appointed Natalie Boyd as a partner in the finance practice of the firm’s Dubai office. She joins from Simmons & Simmons. Boyd advises on a variety of structured credit and debt capital markets products, as well as bank lending, regulatory, derivatives, and Islamic finance matters. Her clients include major US and international banks and investment funds, fund managers and trustees, manufacturers, and stock exchanges.

Morrison & Foerster has appointed Thomas Yunlong Man as a partner in its China corporate transactions practice to be based in the firm’s Beijing office. Formerly a partner with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in Beijing, Man brings a wide-ranging background representing US, Chinese and European companies in both inbound and outbound transactions, and counseling clients on complex corporate matters including M&A, antitrust, private equity, and investigations relating to the FCPA. He has represented companies in industries across the China business landscape, including chemicals, semi-conductors, mining, real estate, and oil and gas, among others.
