Ashurst has appointed Angus Ross as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong dispute resolution group. He brings a broad range of commercial litigation and other dispute resolution expertise, with a strong focus on banking disputes and contentious financial services regulatory matters. Ross joins from Allen & Overy, where he was a partner from 2003 and head of the Asian litigation practice from 2008.

Squire Sanders is launching a new office in Sydney on 1 November 2012 and will appoint cross-border M&A specialist Campbell Davidson who will be joining as partner from Allens. Davidson advises national and international clients on acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, where he headed Allens’ China corporate practice.
