| Corporate and financial services lawyer Luke Gannon has joined DLA Piper as a partner in its corporate group. Gannon will head up the firm’s funds practice throughout Asia, as well as act in equity capital markets matters. He will be based in the Hong Kong office. Previously a partner and head of funds at Freehills in Melbourne, Gannon has almost 20 years experience across Asia acting on a range of funds, regulatory and capital raising matters, including for real estate investment trusts, hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity, infrastructure funds, wealth managers, underwriters and corporate issuers.
Korean law firm Yulchon recently added Dr Hyeon Joo Lee as partner and tax professional. With more than 25 years of tax experience at the National Tax Service, Dr Lee will focus on international tax issues, particularly Chinese taxation. Prior to joining Yulchon, he served as a member of International Taxation Division at the NTS and was involved in Chinese tax issues. Dr Lee is a graduate of National Tax College, and studied at People’s University of China for 6 years. He received his Masters degree and PhD in economics from People’s University of China. |
