Ma has been practicing law for over 21 years and he is a recognized leading professional in the fields of his practice. He has represented many international and domestic clients in merger filings and cartel investigations in China. He has also advised dozens of multinational companies on their acquisition and greenfield investment projects in China. Moreover, Ma has represented lenders and borrowers in various commercial loan and project finance transactions.



Squire Patton Boggs has added one of Australia’s leading restructuring, insolvency and litigation partners Amanda Banton who will join the firm’s Sydney office with a team of 11 lawyers in January 2015. A former partner at Piper Alderman, Banton’s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate, commercial and insolvency related litigation, with a particular emphasis on matters relating to the Australian corporations legislation, bankruptcy, state and federal trade legislation, negligence and contractual disputes. She has led numerous significant disputes in the Federal Court and High Court of Australia and she is the only litigation lawyer in Australia to successfully act against Standard & Poors in respect to the AAA rating of certain financial products.
