| Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill has appointed Adlin Abdul Majid as a partner in the IP & ICT practice group effective 1 March 2011. A graduate of the University of Oxford, Majid commenced her legal career in civil and commercial litigation, with emphasis on contractual disputes, debt recovery and banking litigation. In 2002, she left legal practice to join the agency responsible for the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia) initiative and the development of the ICT industry in Malaysia. She has advised the government on a wide range of ICT policies and initiatives, including negotiations on ICT aspects of inter-governmental bi- and multi-lateral agreements. Majid also represented the government at regional and international levels in examining crucial issues related to ICT laws, including the harmonisation of the e-commerce legal infrastructure in the Asean region, and cybercrime enforcement. |
