| DAC Beachcroft has appointed Steven Dewhurst as an insurance partner in the firm’s Singapore office. Dewhurst, previously with Stephenson Harwood in Singapore, is an insurance specialist with over 19 years of experience advising insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries on claims, commercial agreements and regulatory and compliance issues. He is experienced in high-value financial lines and D&O defence work, and providing insurance sector focused commercial and regulatory advice. Prior to relocating to Singapore, Dewhurst was based in Hong Kong where he advised insurers and reinsurers on claims against leading international banks, architectural and engineering firms, accountancy firms and financial brokers.
Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson has expanded its Hong Kong corporate practice with the addition of Carolyn Sng as partner. Sng’s practice is primarily focused on complex capital markets, M&As, restructuring, corporate finance and private equity transactions. She specializes in high-profile global offerings and debt capital markets transactions. Sng joins from Herbert Smith, where she was a partner. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1998 and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2003. |
