Ashurst has announced the appointment of corporate partner Lina Lee to its Hong Kong office, which is carried on by its local affiliate Jackson Woo & Associates. Joining from Clifford Chance, Lee has experience in corporate finance, including public and private M&A and equity capital markets work, and has acted for global banks and corporate clients. Her recent experience includes advising on the global offering and listing of Silver Base Group on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, advising on Lenovo’s acquisition of IBM’s global PC business, and advising on Temasek’s pre-IPO investments in China Construction Bank. Lee is familiar with her new employer’s operations, having previously worked for Ashurst in its London office in 1998 before moving back to Hong Kong in 2002.

Vietnamese firm Indochine Counsel has announced the appointment of partner Bui Ngoc Hong, who joined the firm on 16 June 2009. Having most recently worked for Allens Arthur Robinson, Hong has previously also worked at Frasers Law Company and Roedl & Partner. He is experienced in advising clients on foreign investment laws, corporate & commercial matters, mergers & acquisitions, project finance, and international trade law. Indochine Counsel views his appointment as an important element in the firm’s growth plans.
