| DFDL has strengthened its tax and customs team with the appointment of Rolf Winand effective 1 July 2012 as regional partner in the tax & customs practice group, responsible for Cambodia and Vietnam. He has had 11 years of experience working as tax partner, risk management partner and chief operating officer (COO) with KPMG in Vietnam. As COO, Winand’s experience covers corporate, personal and value added tax advice to clients ranging from market entry participants, foreign and local investment funds and fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, banks and other financial institutions, insurance and manufacturers to major international corporations operating in Vietnam.
Harneys has appointed Joss Morris as a partner in the firm’s Cayman office. Previously with Walkers and Linklaters, Morris brings over 14 years of experience in offshore fund formation, private equity, cross-border corporate transactions and banking and finance matters. He practiced with Walkers for six years in the firm’s Cayman and Jersey offices. Morris previously worked for eight years in the London, Warsaw and Paris offices of Linklaters. Admitted in both the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands, his areas of expertise include offshore funds, cross-border corporate transactions and banking and finance matters. |
