Clifford Chance has appointed project finance specialist Bruce Schulberg as a partner to its Beijing office, further strengthening its corporate finance team in Asia. Schulberg is an international specialist in project finance and cross-border investments. He has been living in Asia for more than 15 years, and joins the firm from Jones Day. Schulberg has worked on infrastructure projects across Asia, and has particular experience in financing oil, gas and power projects.

Gilbert + Tobin has attracted five new partners with expertise in patent litigation, property, and transactions in the communications and technology sectors to its Sydney office. Australia’s patent litigators Anthony Muratore and Lisa Taliadoros have joined the firm’s intellectual property and litigation practice from Freehills. Property specialists Diane Skapinker and Christine Burke have joined the firm’s real estate and projects practice from Minter Ellison. In the next few months, Julian Courtney-Stubbs will join the firm’s corporate, communications and technology practice in Hong Kong, where he has been leading Bird & Bird’s Asia corporate group.
