Allens Arthur Robinson has bolstered its Melbourne practice with the appointment of Anthony Arrow, one of Australia’s leading infrastructure and construction lawyers, as part of its projects team effective May 2010. Arrow, currently General Counsel at John Holland Group Pty Ltd, has significant experience in front-end construction and major infrastructure projects. He has recently worked on the Victorian Desalination Plant PPP, the Peninsula Link PPP and the Ararat Prison PPP projects.

Sidley Austin has strengthened its Hong Kong practice with the appointment of Alex Lloyd as a partner in its US corporate finance practice, effective 1 May 2010. Lloyd’s practice focuses on debt and equity capital markets, including high yield debt offerings, IPOs, restructurings, SEC regulatory compliance and liability management transactions, and he has represented issuers and underwriters in a number of notable high yield offerings in Asia. On the equity side, he has primarily focused on Hong Kong IPOs with a Rule 144A tranche, as well as other global equity issues listed in Singapore. Lloyd received his JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University and his BA, with honors, from Dartmouth. He has practiced law in Hong Kong for five years, after previously practicing in London and Washington DC.
