The interactive edition of the Feb 2023 issue of In-House Community (IHC) Magazine is now live (below).

In this issue, we share the results of our IHC survey for 2022. We heard from in-house counsel hailing from 18 different jurisdictions on their current management of legal work and key concerns for the coming year. Most importantly, however, we share our respondents’ picks for Firms of the Year, 2022!

Moving on to our usual fare, we are reminded that there are few certainties in life – evolving regulatory frameworks seemingly one of them! We take a look at a revamp of Vietnam’s financial markets to protect investors and simplify administrative processes (VILAF). The antitrust landscape in China is likewise facing a shake-up. We hear about the first revisions to the jurisdiction’s Anti-Monopoly Law since its implementation 14 years ago (Tian Yuan Law Firm). Over in Philippines, further ‘landscape-changing’ legislative and regulatory reforms were passed in 2022, promising renewed investment opportunities (Villaraza & Angangco). Staying in Southeast Asia, we delve into rapidly developing intellectual property laws reflective of the region’s importance as a growing ‘hub for innovation and creativity’ (LindaWang Su & Boo).

SPECIAL FEATURE

We chat with Ira Eddymurthy of SSEK Law Firm on their 30th anniversary of operation. We hear a little about where they’ve been as well as about their brand refresh as they set their sights on the next 30 years and beyond!

We also cover last month’s top deals, partner level moves, and latest legal industry news.

We hope you enjoy the issue.
