The 18th annual In-House Congress Shanghai got off to a great start with a discussion on Women in Law: Women in In-House (seen right), chaired by Carol Yuan of Hughes-Castell with Lesley Li of Air Products and Chemicals, Jennifer Liu of Signify, Xinyi Chen of LawMars and Michelle Gon of McDermott Will & Emery. While the proportion of women are in the ascendancy in Shanghai, the problems of both conscious and unconscious bias still prevail, the panel concluded. There followed a day of engaging workshops covering a wide aray of interest areas before the event closed with a succinct and honest dicussion on In-House Development, moderated by Evangelos Apostolou of Major, Lindsey & Africa, who was joined by some very experienced lawyers, including Xi Zhang of Bayer, Martin Hu of Martin Hu & Partners and Samuel Yang of AnJie Law Firm.
