Norton Rose Australia has announced the launch of an association with the Indonesian legal practice Susandarini & Partners in Jakarta.
Susandarini & Partners is led by partner Susandarini, a respected commercial lawyer, who has over 17 years experience advising clients in the Indonesian legal market. Susandarini’s experience includes advising banks, insurance companies, corporates and other financial institutions. She has extensive knowledge of finance and corporate related work and has advised on various energy and infrastructure projects in the oil and gas, mining and transport sectors.
A number of Norton Rose Group partners will be based in Jakarta on secondment to Susandarini & Partners which has taken new premises in Equity Tower, Jakarta where it will relocate in April.
Don Boyd, group deputy chief executive, said: “Indonesia has one of the strongest economies in the region; it is rich in natural resources and has a commitment to building infrastructure including roads, railways and ports. It is therefore an increasingly important market for our international business.”

Working together with Susandarini & Partners will give us a strong platform in the Indonesian market especially given the strength of our offices in Australia, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong.”
